A Few Words About Us
Our mission here at Edible Installs is to encourage and enable anyone and everyone to grow more food regardless of their space or limitations. Reducing food miles is a great way to help reduce the need for fossil fuels and plastic packaging. Building and growing as many edible gardens as we can is a way we can impact the world in a positive way. We believe everyone should growsome food and we can provide you with that expertise in design to grow a garden which is designed around you, your structures and your climate.
What is Permaculture?

Permaculture is the conscious design and maintenance of agriculturally productive ecosystems which have the diversity, stability and resilience of natural ecosystems.
It is the harmonious integration of landscape and people providing their food, energy, shelter, and other material and non-material needs in a sustainable way.
Permaculture Design is a system of assembling conceptual, material, and strategic components in a pattern which functions to benefit life in all its forms.
The philosophy behind permaculture is one of working with, rather than against nature; of protracted and thoughtful observation rather than protracted and thoughtless action; of looking at systems in all their functions, rather than asking only one yield of them; and of allowing systems to demonstrate their own evolutions.
Who do we Serve?
We offer our services to individual households, businesses and institutions.
Households
We will interview you and observe your property and note any restrictions we have for the design.
We can design and install very small systems up to a very large garden design. For example a small salad garden requires very little space and can keep a household in fresh lettuce all summer long. We can utilize vegetable scraps, animal manure from rabbits, guinea pigs and chickens to fuel the fertility by setting up easy to manage composting systems. Our prices are as follows:
£50 – Design interview and property evaluation plus a mini report on your property.
£450 – More detailed designed and priced plan from £450 depending on the size of your property.
Installation costs will be determined by your requirements and what you want to achieve.
We will also provide a cost of service breakdown for you in this report should you wish to have your garden serviced by our staff.
Businesses
We can provide designs for Restaurant Gardens, Hotels, Small Businesses and Factories with space to grow food. We will look at rainwater catchment, available resources, access and structures to evaluate how we can maximize our impact. We will evaluate current expenditure on mowing lawns, green waste disposal and eliminating the need for chemicals. Our prices are as follows:
£100 – Design interview for 1 hr and property evaluation and a mini-report on your property and needs.
£900 – A more detailed design starts from £900. Again this will depend on the scope and requirements of the design. We will provide a detailed design, installation costs, and a schedule of works. We will conduct an evaluation after year 1 with a client interview to discuss needs and adjust the design accordingly.
Institutions
We can provide edible installation designs for Schools, Community Gardens and other institutions looking to improve on their environmental credentials. We can work with the institutions on grant and funding applications. We can also provide STEM education talks and demonstrations on subjects like Aquaponics, Soil Biology, Worm Breeding to name a few. Our full range of training courses will be published soon.
We can install and service greenhouses, polytunnels, and composting systems to help improve our school settings and provide a STEM learning experience for children.
